Eric Utterson Partner/President

Throughout his twenty-one years of experience, Eric has been project manager for utility studies and analyses; central plant facility design and analysis, and commissioning of new construction and retrofit projects.

Eric has experience in the design of HVAC, plumbing, building automation and fire protection systems, focusing on analyzing facilities to determine the best life-cycle cost approach of mechanical and electrical systems.  Some of his prior projects have included design of building HVAC systems including air systems, hydronic heating and cooling systems and steam distribution systems, campus energy studies, mechanical systems commissioning, studies of ventilation and pressure control problems, and PID loop tuning, as well as plumbing, medical gas, and temperature control systems design.

Jerry Williams Partner/Senior Vice President

Jerry is a Senior Vice President and Engineer for 8760.  Jerry has over forty years of experience in the design, analysis, and commissioning of HVAC systems.  He was a principal lecturer in the ASHRAE Professional Development Seminar Series entitled “Air Systems Design and Retrofit.”

Jerry has been active in the training of National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) testing and balancing technicians.  He has also served as an affiliate professor of mechanical engineering for the School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, where he received the Alumni Achievement Award in 2009. Jerry has been the principal and project manager on major building designs, energy studies, system retrofit projects, and building commissioning projects.

Erich Blaufuss Partner/Vice President

As Vice President and Senior Engineer, Erich has twenty-six years of engineering experience in building systems, campus utilities master planning and energy use analysis.

Erich specializes in building mechanical, plumbing and fire protection renovations, building and campus infrastructure design, energy studies and energy use reduction projects, and commissioning and building automation system design. His expertise includes hospitals, health care, universities, laboratory and institutional projects.  Some of Erich’s projects have included a 2400-ton chilled water retrofit with new chiller plant and HVAC retrofit for a 300,000 SF laboratory research building at Washington University School of Medicine, and central boiler plant replacement for Southeast Missouri State University.

Ryan Corrigan Partner/COO

Since joining the firm at the start of 2011, Ryan has specialized in the analysis and retrofit of existing facilities with an emphasis on HVAC functionality and energy reductions.  Ryan has worked with clients to increase system reliability on higher education and healthcare campuses while also helping our clients save over 7,000,000 kWh through utility incentive programs.

In 2004, Ryan began working in the construction industry where he was employed as a summer help for the Local 562 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union.  He has since graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a in the Masters of Business Administration at Washington University in St. Louis.

He currently sits on the board of directors for the St. Louis Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers and the nonprofit agency Call for Help, Inc in East St. Louis, IL.

Nate Schlotz Senior Project Manager

After joining the firm in November 2013, Nate has provided valuable expertise in HVAC design and power generation. Overall, Nate has experience with site surveys, energy modeling/life cycle cost analysis, HVAC system design, production of contract documents, LEED simulation and documentation, cost estimating and construction support.

While working with one of his main clients, the Department of Defense, Nate completed commercial, light residential, light industrial and energy efficient facility design.

Tomas Zajicek Senior Project Manager

Since joining the team in April 2016 as a Senior Project Manager, Tomas has specialized in Institutional HVAC and utility energy efficiency and chilled water system consolidation.

Tomas brings municipal and industrial utility expertise, including: refrigeration, HVAC, hot water, chilled water and steam.. Throughout his twelve years of experience, Tomas has held progressive leadership roles for: Anheuser-Busch, Oscar-Mayer, City of Columbia, and URS/AECOM. Tomas has provided process design consulting, project management, and at AECOM, acting mechanical department head and principal services. Tomas has been responsible for utility capital in excess of 40 million dollars, and food and beverage projects up to 150 million dollars. Tomas continues to work with: Executives, Brewmasters, Plant Managers, Engineering Staff, Installation Crews, City Council’s, Public Audiences, and Clients in informal and formal settings to accomplish complex projects, safely, on time and in budget.

John Moran Senior Designer

John Moran has thirty-five years of engineering experience in the design of HVAC building systems, and campus utilities.

John has been responsible for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection design, including HVAC duct and pipe sizing and layout, equipment room design, cost estimating, and construction observation for a variety of projects at healthcare and medical research facilities, recreation centers,  elementary and secondary educational facilities, and campus utilities.

Michael Mosbacher Project Mechanical Engineer

Michael graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in May 2012 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and minors in Energy Engineering and General Business. He began his engineering experience as an intern at Nidec Motor Corporation in St. Louis.

In 2011, Michael started interning for 8760 Engineering and was subsequently hired as a full-time Project Mechanical Engineer in July 2012. In his current role, Michael utilizes innovative engineering analysis and design techniques to optimize energy efficiencies for mechanical systems. He specializes in the complete energy analysis of both new and existing facilities

Ryan Hoff Project Mechanical Engineer

Ryan graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri in May 2014 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.  He began his engineering experience as an intern at True Manufacturing in 2011 and Nordyne Inc. in 2012 both in O’Fallon, Missouri. Ryan participated in Engineers without Borders, a student design team in Missouri S&T, from 2010-2014.  He worked on the design and construction of a potable water system in community of 2500 people in Guatemala.

In 2013, Ryan started interning for 8760 Engineering and was subsequently hired as a full time Project Mechanical Engineer in June 2014.  In his current role, Ryan utilizes innovative engineering analysis and design techniques to optimize energy efficiencies for mechanical systems.  He specializes in building energy reduction projects.

Ryan Schilling Designer

Ryan is a Project Architect with more than ten years of experience, and a strong focus on sustainable design.  He is a LEED Accredited Professional who has worked on nine LEED certified and registered projects.

Ryan is experienced at developing architectural documents that reflect state-of-the-art sustainable materials and design techniques.  He is skilled at developing Revit drawings and models, including closely working with engineers to create fully-integrated construction documents.  As your Project Architect, his priority is to reflect both design intent and budgetary requirements in the construction documents.

Lynn Hendry Mechanical Designer

Lynn is an experienced Designer with knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM), CAD, project documentation and construction document management for plumbing, process piping, fire protection, and HVAC design. She has collaborated with Engineers in all phases of project design of mechanical systems.

Since joining the 8760 Engineering team in the Fall of 2015, she has assisted in the layout of HVAC and plumbing systems in health care and government facilities.

Daniel Bunselmeyer Mechanical Designer

Since graduating, Daniel has worked primarily in the healthcare design industry from new construction projects to retro commissioning. Through all this he has gained an experience of many different engineering subsets and has developed a deeper knowledge of computer drafting programs such as Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.

Daniel joined the 8760 team in October 2016, bringing with him a good working knowledge of computer drafting and modeling software, especially Autodesk Revit, and the desire to continue learning more. His engineering background along with his post-graduation experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and desire to become more well versed in both provides a unique perspective that can help make current projects the best they can be while always pushing to keep 8760 on the leading edge of engineering technology.

Zach Mierzejewski Software Engineering Associate

Zach Mierzejewski comes from a background of analyzing utility data and acquiring energy incentive money.  Since joining 8760, he has branched out to develop diverse systems that support 8760 staff.  Zach has developed reliable, easy-to-use programs that help to reduce human errors while also improving task speed.

Through his work for 8760, Zach has greatly advanced his skill in areas, such as Database Design, Mobile Application Design, Microsoft Office Application Integration and the languages VB.NET, Python, and  SQL.  He has created programs to track the location and status of field hardware, transmit sensor data over the internet from inside strict firewalls, and produce pragmatic reports for consumption by individuals at various levels of specialization.
