The University of Alabama School of Medicine resolved to pursue a campus energy usage reduction study. As part of the audit, we analyzed the following projects:
- HVAC conversion to VAV
- Airflow Reductions
- Temperature Setback
- Unoccupied Airflow Setbacks
- Heat Recovery Chillers
- Lighting Retrofit and Contents
- Fume Hood Airflow Reductions
Projects were identified such that when implemented will result in energy savings for UAB with a 1.8 year payback. Additionally we assisted UAB in setting sustainable design guidelines for future laboratory projects. |
